Introduction

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Nalumi (“we”, “us”, “our”). They govern your use of the Nalumi service, including the website nalumi.app, the web application and all related content and features (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, creating your beauty profile, buying a subscription or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Subscription Terms and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

About the Service

Nalumi is a personal skincare and beauty assistant. Based on your beauty profile — such as your skin type, goals, preferences and budget — the Service may, depending on your plan, offer:

• personalised skincare and beauty tips;
• a suggested morning and evening routine;
• cosmetic product suggestions matched to your skin type, goals and budget;
• an AI chat with a beauty assistant for everyday skincare questions;
• a routine tracker and self-reported check-ins on how your skin feels.

We regularly improve the Service and may add, change or remove features and content at any time. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

Cosmetic Guidance — Not Medical Advice

Nalumi is a cosmetic and lifestyle service. It is not a medical service or a medical device, and nothing in the Service is medical, dermatological or pharmaceutical advice.

• The Service does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any skin condition or disease, and it does not replace a dermatologist, doctor, pharmacist or other qualified professional.
• Routines, tips and product suggestions are general cosmetic information based on the answers you give us. They are not tailored to your medical history and are not an assessment of your skin.
• Your routine tracker and skin check-ins are personal notes to help you stay consistent; they are not clinical measurements.
• If you have a skin condition (for example, acne that worries you, eczema, rosacea or psoriasis), are pregnant or breastfeeding, take medication or are undergoing medical treatment, speak to a doctor or dermatologist before changing your routine.
• Do not delay or ignore professional medical advice because of anything you read in the Service.

We do not make any health claims about the Service or any product it mentions, and we cannot guarantee any particular cosmetic result.

Using Products Safely

You are responsible for deciding which products to use and how to use them. Before trying anything new, we recommend that you:

• do a patch test on a small area of skin and wait to see how your skin reacts;
• read the full ingredient list and check it against any allergies or sensitivities you know of;
• follow the manufacturer’s instructions, warnings and recommended frequency of use;
• introduce new products gradually rather than all at once.

If you notice redness, burning, itching, swelling or any other reaction, stop using the product straight away and seek advice from a pharmacist, doctor or dermatologist. In case of a severe reaction, contact emergency services.

Beauty Assistant

The beauty assistant in the Service generates its replies automatically using artificial intelligence. By using it, you understand and agree that:

• replies may be incomplete, generalised or occasionally wrong, and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional;
• the assistant cannot see or examine your skin and relies only on what you tell it;
• you should not share unnecessary personal details, such as your full medical history or information about other people;
• you will not use the assistant to create unlawful, harmful or abusive content.

Third-Party Products and Retailers

Nalumi does not make, sell or ship cosmetics. The Service may mention brands and products or link to third-party websites and shops so you can learn more about them.

• Product suggestions are based on your beauty profile and are not paid placements or sponsored recommendations.
• If you buy a product, you enter into a contract directly with the seller. Price, availability, delivery, returns, product quality and safety are the seller’s and manufacturer’s responsibility, not ours.
• Product descriptions, ingredients and formulations may change without our knowledge; always check the current information on the packaging or the seller’s website.
• Brand names, product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their mention in the Service does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

Eligibility and Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these Terms.

You sign in with your email address using a secure one-time link. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure and for everything that happens under your Nalumi account. Let us know straight away if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

Your Information and Content

Your beauty profile answers, chat messages, routine entries and skin check-ins (“Your Content”) remain yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process Your Content only to run and improve the Service for you, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

Your Content is private: we do not publish it or show it to other users. You can delete Your Content or your whole account at any time.

Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
• present content from the Service as professional medical or dermatological advice to others;
• copy, redistribute, sell or publicly display routines, guides or other content of the Service without our permission;
• reverse engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service or its security;
• share your account with others or resell access to the Service.

We may suspend or close the accounts of users who break these rules.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, routines, guides, texts, illustrations, software and the Nalumi name and logo, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Third-party trademarks mentioned in the Service remain the property of their owners.

Subscriptions and Payments

Some features are free. Full access requires Nalumi Pro, a weekly subscription at US$4.99 per week (or the equivalent in your currency, shown at checkout before you pay). Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time in your account settings or by contacting support.

All purchases are subject to our Subscription Terms and Refund Policy.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that its content will suit your skin, or that you will achieve any particular cosmetic result.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any reaction, irritation or other outcome caused by products you choose to buy or use, for the acts of third-party sellers or manufacturers, or for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — please cancel it first, as explained in our Subscription Terms. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or if the law requires us to.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with an updated date at the top; for important changes we will also let you know by email or in the Service. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of __GOVERNING_LAW__, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
